Helping you get everything in place
Plan ahead and relax
Many people think Estate Planning is just about preparing a will. It’s not. Its more than that. A good estate plan should provide you with peace of mind and help avoid potential complications on inheritance for your beneficiaries.
A good Estate plan should ensure the following:
- the ownership and control of your assets pass to your intended beneficiaries in the right proportions
- tax is minimised on the income and capital gains earned on those assets
- that assets are protected if a beneficiary is involved in a legal dispute, bankruptcy or divorce

Who are the participants in creating an appropriate estate plan?
An Accountant
At TCM Accounting we will review any business or investment structures that you may have and a valuation for the various assets. This will ensure that all beneficiaries are inheriting your assets at a valuation and in a proportion that you deem necessary.
A Solicitor
The solicitor will need to prepare the legal document required to ensure the passage of assets from one individual or entity, is per your wishes. It is important that a solictor be well versed in this part of the law to ensure that the will is structed in such a way to avoid being set aside if contested in court.
Your Financial Adviser
Your financial adviser will work with the participants to ensure your wishes are translated and then represented in the final document as you intended.
